Description
Economical wood, the wood of verne or alder is a good firewood although its combustion is fast. It provides a very bright heat when burning. In the Basque Country, the verne was cut in July, cut into sections and split into logs. The very short drying time of these logs made it possible to use them with maximum energy efficiency at the time of heating. Verne wood is also used for ovens requiring a rapid and very calorific temperature rise (bakery, pizzeria, blacksmith, etc …)
