Description
Mythical tree from the south of France present in our garrigues du Midi. Often small in size because it comes from uncultivated forests and is difficult to access, the extraction of holm oak is expensive and random. Its trunk is short, often tortuous with a green/blackish bark.
Green oak is an excellent firewood: it has a remarkable calorific value and is slowly consumed with abundant embers.
The proposed green oak logs have just been cut and split. We advise you to store them until October in order to obtain optimal drying, for combustion next winter.
Our team recommends combining green oak logs with beech or verne logs. You will thus benefit from the advantages of these two species: beautiful embers for the holm oak, and beautiful flames for the beech or the verne.
